Warren Dental Associates is a general dentist practice located in Warren, RI established 31 years ago. Dr. John F. Kerwin has practiced for over 37 years and Dr. Theodore G. Drummond, Jr. has practiced for over 26 years.  They take pride in their practice and strive to offer the highest quality of dental care using state-of-the- art equipment and technology.

Christina Cote has been the Office Manager for 13 years. She’s been in the dental field for 32 years.  After business school, she worked at Bristol Dental Associates for 13 years to get experience working in an office with accounts receivables and front desk not expecting to stay in the dental field.  To get a better understanding of dentistry she decided to train to be a dental assistant.  Bristol Dental gave her the experience to assist a general dentist, endodontist and an orthodontist, to help set up financial agreements and explain treatment plans to patients. For the past 19 years I have been working at Warren Dental Associates.

Her favorite part of the job is interacting with patients and developing lasting relationships. “We strive to make our practice a friendly and caring environment where our patients and staff become like family,“  Christina says.

She adds, “As a business stand point, I enjoy the everyday challenges that push me to improve the office function. I enjoy implementing new protocol and satisfaction of seeing the changes help improve the practice.”

Her least favorite is dealing with the insurance companies and trying to keep up with their constant changes in their policies. Christina often leads insurance discussions in the Ocean State chapter and is highly sought by other members for her information and expertise.

Her biggest challenge is running the business and having to adapt to the changes in the state regulations and insurance guidelines.

Christina’s Sage Wisdom: Have a Office Meeting once a month. Attend Continuing Ed classes as a team then hold a meeting to discuss what they learned. Dental office managers to attend management training / meeting.

When not working, Christina loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, son and grandson. She  likes to jog, read books, crochet, dance, attend sporting events, bake, cook, play piano, Vacation in NH with the family and volunteer at the Mission of Mercy and at her parish.

Christina has attended almost every Ocean State Chapter meeting and was instrumental in getting extra meeting dates added to 2017. She thinks that the Dental Managers Society is a great organization to be a part of where dental managers share similar experiences that they face on a daily basis which helps improve their own practice.

We think so too!
