Beth Suriani, Practice Manager at Epic Lifetime Dental Care in Norwood

Beth manages Epic Lifetime Dental Care, a multi-specialty group dental practice in Norwood, MA. You’ll be surprised to know that we are most likely to see her at the Ocean State Dental Managers Society meetings in Rhode Island.  That’s because she lives in North Kingstown, RI and commutes 50+ miles EACH WAY. She says she does it because it’s a great office with wonderful bosses!

Pam and Lexi agree that it’s a great office! Having visited several times, they can tell you that the atmosphere is more like a plush hotel with cozy waiting areas and a very warm and relaxing feeling!

Beth has been the Practice Manager at Epic Dental for about a year. She’s always worked in the dental field-mostly private dental offices but also as a manager processing dental insurance claims. Beth says “I love the problem solving and the variety of tasks each day brings to me.”

It’s not all fun. Beth replies that her least favorite part of the job is, “Dealing with the insurance companies and their ever changing plans, benefits and rules!”

It does have other challenges, like many of our DMS practices. Her current challenge is hiring professional staff for both clinical and administrative positions. At a recent meeting, she mentioned that she looks for a friendly, helpful attitude before dental office experience.

When asked what “Words of Sage Wisdom” she would offer to any new Dental Practice Manager, she replied “Arrive every day with a positive “can do” attitude.”

Beth finds Dental Managers Society very beneficial. “I have received many benefits from DMS-Lots of Helpful advice and new ideas with issues such as staffing, scheduling and insurance companies. The support we offer to each other makes me feel like I am not alone. The guest speakers are most interesting and I always leave the meetings having learned something new!”

Beth always offers lots of good advice at our “open Forums” and everyone benefits from her experience! Thanks, Beth!
