What a Super Great Meeting!
We were excited to have VP of Marketing for Weave Dustin ByBee and his wife Tawny at the meeting.  Dustin was in town from Salt Lake City to run the Boston Marathon with his wife.  If you remember, and who doesn’t, it was one of the most miserable cold and rainy days in Boston Marathon’s history!  At least they experienced the warmth and friendly members and enjoyed breakfast!  Dustin had given me Tawny’s race number and I looked up to see that she ran 3:16:42, a little over her expected 2:55.  Of course, she EXPECTED better weather, too! I don’t know how or if Dustin ran without knowing his number.  He had been unsure of running due to a knee injury and may have felt it better to not run.

Every one of the 30 seats were filled and it was SRO! DMS Sponsors Judie Blum and Jeff Nauges from Chewsi, HR Attorney Helene Horn Figman and Amber Orlando of Debt Management, and David Snell of ACTSmart IT were also present to offer advice and support.

Our first presenter was Adriana Armorim from Delta Dental of MA. She spent almost an hour answering everyone’s DD questions and everyone was very grateful for her information.

Ben Hall from Overview was very enlightening as he gave us exacting information about how to save money on our overhead. Of his many tips, one about credit card processing fees stood out to all of us. He suggested that when asked to enter street number, zip code, or any other holder facts, do not just skip through.  Every time you skip information that would easily be able to obtained by the client standing in front of you, your processing goes to a higher percentage and is considered “card not present” when you are probably actually holding it in your hand.  The few seconds saved are not worth a higher processing rate! Lastly, we gave suggested topics and dates for seminars by Pam Dembski Hart. We are accepting topic/date suggestions until May 1st and will then post them for others to attend if seats are available.  Click HERE to offer your non-binding preferences.
