Because proof of CEUs is not required to apply for license renewal, it’s possible that DAs (and other licensees) are not completing all of their required CEUs by license renewal time. In such a case there would be consequences, as the following actual MA Dental Board Case demonstrates:
- Facts: DA was charged with unlicensed practice because she did not complete the required CEUs by the time of her license renewal.
- Result: Consent Agreement for Stayed Probation for 6 months to complete the following:
- 4 hours of Risk Management
- 1 hour of Ethics
Don’t let this be you or your staff – understand your State’s Dental Board CEU requirements and confirm that you and/or your licensed employees have met them.
If you need CEUs or just want to better understand the requirements in your State, please call us at 781-471-0915. We’re here to keep you, your employees and your patients safe.
